The London Bridge Tower in SE 1 is widely known as The Shard, due to its highly sophisticated glazing and its pinnacle of 'broken glass'.

Overview

Irvine Sellar engaged architect Renzo Piano to devise a grand tower which was to replace a dreary 1970s office block on a site near London Bridge. By December 2002 the stunning design was developed to become 'The Shard'.
